Being the largest town in Bassetlaw, Worksop, with a population of 45.000, is an old market town known as the gateway to the Dukeries which is an area some 24 x 10 miles south of the town, created from forest land being granted to noble Dukes in the 16th century to build country estates and villages.

Moving in January 2011 from the original market square to make way for a new 6 screen cinema and civic square, the market is now held in Bridge Street, on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with a variety of shops ranging from charity to high street names.
Sheffield Motorpoint Arena and Sheffield Ice, where Mark Hanretty of Dancing on Ice, coaches and trains, can be reached within a 25 minute drive.

Follow the signs towards Worksop Town Centre, from the A57 ring road continue onto Newcastle Avenue, take the 4th turn right, carry on to T- junction turn right and we are approximately 50 yards on the left opposite the Old Blue Bell Restaurant.
From the A1 North & South
Head towards Worksop town centre through Manton taking the B6034 to Edwinstowe, pass the Savoy Cinema for approximately 50 yards and we are on the left opposite the Old Blue Bell Restaurant.
